  • Cultural Experiences Abroad (CEA)
    (CEA) was founded in 1996 to provide international education opportunities for U.S. and Canadian college students of all language levels and majors. Today, CEA sends thousands of students on study abroad programs at multiple universities in 15 countries including Argentina, Australia, China, Costa Rica, Czech Republic, England, France, Germany, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Mexico, Poland, Russia and Spain.

  • AustraLearn
    AustraLearn provides students with study abroad opportunities in Australia, New Zealand, and the South Pacific at the college/university level. Students may study abroad for a semester or year or earn an entire degree at one of over 30 major universities, participate in a short-term summer program, or complete a high quality internship.

  • Benjamin A Gilman International Scholarship
    Open to undergraduate students that are U.S. citizens receiving federal Pell Grant funding at the time of the application. The applicant is applying to or has been accepted for a program of study abroad eligible for credit by the student's home institution.

  • National Security Exchange (NSEP)
    U.S. citizens enrolled in a bachelor's degree program may apply. Applicants are required to study in NSEP's geographic area of emphasis and must study a foreign language or take coursework in a foreign language. Within 3 months of graduation the recipient is obligated to begin a four year term of employment for a federal agency with national security responsibilities or to work in higher education. Administered by the Institute of International Enterprises.

  • IIE/Freeman Asia Scholarship
    Candidates must be U.S. citizens, undergraduates at a U.S. institution, have verifiable financial need, and be planning to study in one of the Asian countries listed in the brochure. Graduating seniors are not eligible. Within 3 months of return students must fulfill a service requirement to promote study abroad in Asia at their home university. Summer programs must be a minimum of 8 weeks. Administered by the Institute of International Enterprises.

CIEE

  • John E. Bowman Travel Grants
    Candidates must be U.S. citizens or permanent residents enrolled in a Council member institution and participating in a CIEE study program in one of the designated non-traditional countries.

  • Robert B. Baily Scholarship
    Candidate must be U.S. citizens belonging to groups underrepresented in study abroad. Applicants must participate in a CIEE study abroad program.

  • International Study Program Scholarship
    Applicants must be from Academic Consortium member institutions applying to CIEE programs.

  • Dept of Education Scholarships for Council Programs to China (Beijing, Nanjing, Shanghai, Taipei)
    Applicants must be US. citizens or permanent residents. Junior, senior, or graduate students interested in pursuing post-graduate work in Chinese studies with at least two years of Mandarin Chinese may be accepted to the CIEE program. Must be able to demonstrate financial need and high academic merit.

  • Youth Foundation Scholarship
    For a junior year abroad. Selection based on applicant's character, need, scholastic achievement, motivation, potential for leadership, and good citizenship.

  • Anglo-Jewish Association Scholarships
    For Jewish students studying in Great Britain.

Rotary

  • Academic-Year Ambassadorial Scholarship
    Applicants can list preferred study abroad site; Rotary Foundation assigns the recipient to any suitable institution. Applicants are required to apply directly to the assigned study institution (not through a U.S.-based study abroad program). Evidence of language proficiency appropriate to assigned location is required.

Germany

  • Goethe Club of Denver Scholarship for Study Abroad in Germany
    For students wishing to attain fluency in German through study abroad. Must be 16-22, resident of Colorado, have studied at least two years of German or be able to show proficiency, minimum GPA 3.5, willingness to show need for scholarship and intended use.

  • DAAD Scholarship to study in Germany
    Candidate must be a full-time, undergraduate at U.S. university admitted to a study abroad program to Germany. Short term grants for students doing senior thesis research or internships. Candidates must be juniors by start of award period. Preference given to students with outstanding academic record and a strong statement of purpose showing an active interest in contemporary German & European affairs.

Italy

  • Dante Alighieri Society Scholarship for Advanced Study in Italy
    Candidate must be accepted for an established study abroad program in Italy in conjunction with a U.S. university for Fall or for the academic year. Field of study must be related to Italian language and/or culture. Criteria: academic merit, interest in Italian culture, and merit of proposed study.

  • AIEJ (Association of International Education, Japan) Scholarship for Study in Japan
    Candidate must be accepted for a full academic year of study at a Japanese university.
