About OIP
The California State University Monterey Bay (CSUMB) Office
of International Programs (OIP) promotes a global ethos through
a wide variety of curricular and programmatic experiences thereby
better equipping our students, faculty and staff to participate
effectively and responsibly in the world system.
OIP programs are designed to enrich community learner
lives by offering and facilitating opportunities for cultural
immersion, intensive language learning, and participation in
another educational system. To facilitate international student
experiences, OIP provides an initial campus and area orientation
and non-academic advisory services. International students interested
in applying to CSUMB are welcome to contact this office for campus
information.
The OIP serves also as a resource for CSUMB and
the community at large, consulting with faculty, advisors, administrative
staff, and others about international study conditions, trends
and safety abroad and offering various kinds of advice and support
in the development and management of education abroad programs.
This office strongly encourages all students to
consider study abroad or exchange as an integral part of their
academic experience. With early planning, most students can easily
fit an overseas study or exchange into their education plan without
delaying their anticipated graduation date. The OIP office is
committed to assisting you find the best program to suite your
needs.
